General Requirements and Info

TO HUNT, TRAP, OR OTHERWISE TAKE WILDLIFE AT HILLTOP LAKES YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF THE WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT TEAM (WMT) AND BE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE HILLTOP LAKES POA AND THE WMT.

  • Must be a current property owner and in good standing with the Hilltop Lakes POA.
  • Must attend at least one of the three WMT meetings. 
    • The meetings are held the 3rd Saturday in March, July, and September at 1:00 p.m. Location TBA, but usually the Community Center, the Tonkawa Room, or the Cleaning Station. 
  • Must have registered and paid your fees by the registration dates listed below.
  • Hunting is by bow or crossbow only.
  • Members hunt on their own properties or properties to which they have been given permission and has a notarized permission form filed with the WMT.
  • Common ground spots are available to hunt on a limited basis. These spots are by assignment only and members must meet the requirements as defined in the Common Ground Procedure document to be eligible for assignment.
  • Members do not use the deer tags issued with their hunting license, but must use the state issued MLDCO tags only.
  • Must have a buck tag before you may take a buck.
  • Buck tags are issued through various drawings as defined each season.  
  • WMT members may hunt hogs year round.
  • Trapping of hogs is allowed. However, snares, leg holds, jaw traps, or dogs are prohibited.

Yearly Dues

  • Individual Membership $ 75.00
  • Family Membership $ 150.00 (A family is defined as a husband, wife, and minor children. All hunting family members must meet the requirements.)
  • Non-hunting Membership $ 50.00

Registration Dates and Deadlines
(Registration is now closed)

  • Jan 1 - Registration opens for current, returning members
  • March 1 - Registration opens for new and lapsed members
  • March 31st  - Registration deadline for common ground holders wishing to keep their spot
  • July WMT meeting -  Registration deadline for every one else. 
  • The only on site registration dates this year are the March WMT meeting and the July WMT meeting.  All other registrations are by mail only. 
  • No late registrations are accepted.

Membership Forms
(Registration is currently closed.  Links will be enabled when registration opens again.)

  • Member Checklist Required. Keep with membership package to ensure all requirements are met. 
  • Team Rules Required. Read, sign, and include with registration 
  • Registration and Release Required. New members and members with lapsed registration are required to have this form notarized. Current, returning members are no longer required to submit this form each year as long as there is no lapse in membership and the original, notarized application remains on file with the WMT. 
  • Nonmember Permission Form Only required if you will be obtaining permission to hunt on property that is not owned by a WMT member. This form must be notarized each year it is in effect. 
  • Liability Waiver Only required if you will be hunting on property owned by the water department. This form must be notarized. 
  • POA Directrive Defines the authority and directive given to the WMT by the Hilltop Lakes POA
  • WMT Bylaws The bylaws that. along with the Team Rules, govern the management and actions of the Wildlife Team.

Payment

  • Online payments using the PayPal form are available.
  • Payments by check may be mailed to the WMT PO Box.  Make checks payable to Hilltop Lakes Wildlife Team.
  • Payments are accepted at the March and July WMT meetings.
